    Store showing geo-blocked content


    Ever since the new Store was launched, it has shown and promoted categories of content which are not available in my country (Czech Republic). This includes movies and tv shows (Microsoft's service for distributing them doesn't support the country) and unavailable media apps (like Hulu etc.). After clicking on them, it shows an error message.

    Though this isn't the biggest issue out there, I think it would be better if all the content shown in the Store was accessible.

    Absolutelly not. Are you aware what Geoblocking means?

    Geobloking is EU legislation which forces any company selling digitalin all EU countries under same conditions.

    Apps, music, movies and so on.

    From 3rd December 2018 is this legislation in place.

    I will escallate this to Consumer Protection Agentúry in Slovakia and in EU

    Regulation (EU) 2018/302 addresses unjustified on line sales discrimination based on customers' nationality, place of residence or place of establishment within the internal market. The ban on geo-blocking is an important element of
    the
    digital single market strategy    .

    The Regulation enters into force on 22 March 2018 in all EU Member States and will apply from 3 December 2018 to allow in particular small traders to adapt.

    Unsupported country + No official store in Thailand. What should I do?

    Being in an unsupported country and setting your entire profile to that of a location in another country would be a violation of the TOS as you are trying to circumnavigate a Geo-block.

    Beyond that, no clue...the Singapore Store is your closest store but, far as I know, you'd need a Singapore address to download anything so you'd be violating the TOS again.

    No, overseas. But everyone here buys US retailer sold codes and it works fine, the first time I renewed the Xbox live subscription it worked , downloaded fifa21 as well, all through the US store, but now for some reason it keeps showing that geo error

    Some content and apps may not be available or accessible in some locations. That app may be geo-fenced (restricted by physical location, not the console setting) and may prevent you from playing content from another country or region.
