Store not working on Xbox one s

My store has stopped working and is giving me the message ‘you need to install the game or app for this 0x80270254.

I have no system or app/game updates pending to do, i have tried hard resetting to no avail so was wondering what else i can try?

all other games and apps are working pefectly fine and its only the store that has issues where i cant even search, use a code or anything.

please help.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues with your Microsoft Store loading up. I suggest you try a soft factory reset:

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One. I recommend you try the "Keep My Games & Apps" option. Let us know with a reply if this helps.

Note: you will need your Microsoft Account Email and Password to recover your accounts after the reset.

Hi XBF George L,

this did the trick, when up and running there was a pending update, microsoft store, and it now works fine so must’ve glitched when updating last time.

thank you so much fir your advice, i now have one happy son again just in time for xmas.

Getting the same code on my Xbox One S when trying to log into Fallout 76 or the Microsoft Store. My other xbox one x is working fine.
