Store downloads check local network consoles first

I'm curious after enabling the network transfer feature, if there is some built-in logic that causes the console to check local network consoles first for Content being requested from the Microsoft store. That way if I have a game installed on a local console
and I request to download that same game from the Microsoft store on a separate console, will the console check the local network first or does it automatically default to downloading from the internet?

If that is not a current operation, how do I submit a feature request for it to act that way?

Downloading games

you have 3 way to do that.

1) set up your old console and your new console with data transfer on local network

Go to Settings, System, Backup and Transfer, allow Network transfer.

At this point you can copy all of your game from one console to the other one via local network.

2) you can connect an external hd on your old console, copy all game inside it, and then connect the hd on your new console.

3) if you don't have your old console anymore, or an external HD.

from your new console, you can download again all of yours games from the store.

For disk copy, you need to put the disk inside and the console will start to download/install the game.

Go to your local GAME store, its just after Xmas and the New Year and they have a huge sale on atm, buy the disc version..

Xbox "Sales" are still above retail asking prices in most cases. Id always check local stores first.

Check your local network as well as your console.

Check your local network and also your console if there is some great use of the network like Download, streaming etc and also packet loss in the console. and try the two procedures below.

The first is a cache cleanup:

1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Then do the procedure below:

MAC Address

Settings » Network Settings » Advanced Settings » Alternate MAC Address » Click Clear

Will ask to restart the console.

First thing to do is check your Toredo/NAT connection to see if that's causing an issue:

If on WIn 10, go to Windows settings, then gaming and then network;

If on Win 11, download the Xbox Console Companion from the Store, then go to settings and network

See what it says...if it says blocked or moderate, that may explain it

Network contention on your home network - Network-enabled devices can compete on your local network for the same download bandwidth as the console. Try pausing any download activity from other devices on your home network to see if that improves your console's download speed.
