Store continues to fail out when trying to make multi-payment purchases

Right now, I have about $28 on my Microsoft account. I want to buy Rayman Legends on Xbox One which is $39.95. Again, all good so far. When I go to purchase, I am asked to use my credit on my account. It then asks me to add another payment method to
cover the difference. At that point, it fails every time. I have tried on the website and I have tried on the Xbox One, and both fail, with different codes. when I try to search those codes, it finds nothing. The last code I got on the website was - cf7b04b4-eb74-460b-9447-97b6477120c4

I am pretty sure I was able to do this near the launch of the Xbox One, but somewhere after that, I lost the ability to perform these mixed payment purchases.

"Your purchase cannot be completed." when buying Black Ops 2 on Xbox Store

I am trying to purchase Black Ops 2 on the Xbox store website, but when I try to check out is says "Your purchase cannot be completed. Please try again." no matter what payment method I use, and I know for sure the payment methods I am using work.

Purchase failed but no error code, only the 32 digit purchase ID

I'm trying to make a purchase from the store, but it fails and tells me to enter the code at
http://xbox.com/errorhelp, but there is no error code, only the 32 digit purchase ID.

What's the next step in fixing this problem when there's no error code?

I used credit from my account and finished with a credit card just the other day. Even though I see no service alerts up right now. There may be a glitch in its system. Try back later it should work.

OK what appears when you try to make a purchase on the mircosoft store?. It should say the reason why a purchased failed.

For Xbox 360 game purchases, you can only use account credit when making the purchase via an Xbox 360 console. This is due to the way the store was designed initially.

If it won't let you choose a different payment method you have attached to your account, there might be an issue with the payment method or it isn't available for that purchase.

You can try making the purchase directly via xbox.com to see if that lets you choose your credit card on file, failing that you could try using a different card if you have that option or PayPal.
