store bought xbox card says "card not active"

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend to request a call from support. They will be able to provide the options available to you.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

I have the same problem but it's the 6 mo th card been fighting back and forth between walmart and support for hours. They keep just saying go the the opposite one obviously their is an activation issue with these cards

I bought an $30 pack of $10 Xbox gift cards from target. I tried redeeming them, but they won't work, even though I activated them. Nothing like this has ever happened before. When I try to redeem one of the cards, it says "Code not yet active. Please contact merchant to activate it," EVEN though I activated it.

You cannot personally activate the gift cards. only the store you bought it from can.

So if its giving you errors about the cards not being activated then that means the store you bought them from didnt activate them properly.

Youd have to go back to where you purchased them (as the error suggests) to tell them to activate them.

so i went to the store i bought the 12 month gold redeem card and their saying that the card is activated and they cant help but ive tryed to code so many times online and on my xbox. What should i do?
