Stop people from joining game

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. You would like to block people from joining your game without your permission or asking you to join you? For settings like that, you usually have to go into the games menu, and if the developer allows it, you can toggle those settings. On the Xbox side, if you go to

7. Here you can block, you can join multiplayer games & you can join the cross-network play.
   

If this is not the solution you are looking for, you can look up the specific game and see what they offer to block people from joining your game. Many games provide offline play or friends invite-only. What game are you playing?

Exactly two of them stop messaging me and the other one I blocked cause I was tired of the false threats that were made. But I didn't know blocking stops them from joining my game?

Also, by joining the game you mean like a random game I find when match making or if I host a game. That part might be confusing me.

Also for the messaging, I usually block people sometimes but I still receive messages for some reason. maybe that's a glitch on Xbox?

Microsoft can't stop people from joining Xbox live and doing that. all I do is block and report with a message in the report, so the enforcement team knows what there doing.
