    So it seem like people have a trick to get ppl suspended it happened to two friends and myself on a smurf. So let's say some did something to you in an online game and you send them a message no matter if its mean but no bad words if they reply "stop harassing
    me" they report your original message and the next one you send. It feels like xbox doesn't look into the case and you still get chat suspended no matter what. I dont know if it's a glitch but I have a friend that got chat suspended yesterday for it and I
    got one on my smurf about 2 months ago.

    The best course of action is dont bite the bait. Going against toxic is a sure fire way to end up with something to irritate you. My motto if you dont have something nice to say dont say it, and if some one is giving you grief block/mute and go on your way.

    If someone I don't know sends me a message I almost always never respond unless it was a good gaming experience with that person. Im sayimg that, its been many years since anyone send me a negative message and it was only because they lost.

    I do believe MS needs to look at context.

    I have been on Xbox going on 8 years this coming November. And never once have I or anyone else I know of have got banned for Telling a person to "stop harassing me". I myself Have told several people to "Please stop harassing me". but I report them for
    the Harassment. Like others have said "common sense".

    Certainly does seem like theyre taking advantage of the system. Best recourse is to always appeal but in the end the griefer is getting exactly what they want with you wasting time on that and being banned.
    Yeah, I also feel that your best bet is appealing the decision. It's sad people are exploiting this

    Enforcement doesn't use the forums and only they can respond to specific Enforcement actions. If the suspension qualifies you can submit a case review at https://enforcement.xbox.com/.

    The best advice if you run into a user that that did something to you in a game - report them (if it broke the code of conduct), mute/block them, and walk away.
