Stop Download - Ready to Play Install (hold pause at 35%)

Hello, Can anyone help me. Xbox One features the Ready to Play during the download install. It can pause the download. I want my Forza 5 download permanently paused at 35% because it's a 40GB size & works fine for a couple days on 35% for the weekend
play deal. But, starting playing auto-starts more downloading ? How do you select pause download/cancel more downloading & play (without starting downloading again or taking the whole console offline ?) I don't see a toggle & it's seems a glaring flaw. Can
anyone help ? Am I wrong ?

How can I stop the download and install for killer instinct or at least pause it

Go to My Games & Apps then scroll down to the Queue. Highlight what's downloading and press the Start button on your controller. You'll be able to manage the game from there.

Im trying that now. It keeps having the “Installation Stopped” error while downloading but i’ll see if it pauses again at “Ready to Start”

It's how the Xbox is installing the update in to the original download. Just pause the update until you're ready.

try starting the download/install then pause it, wait a few minutes then resume the download.

I had to do this a few times to install NMS as the download speed kept dropping or stopping but pausing and resuming got it to download in the end

I had same issue. First install stopped at 35%. Second install stopped at 49%. Third install stopped at 45%. The only solution that worked was to download the game from Live. Thank you guys for the help !
