You're going to want to start by going to
account.microsoft.com to change the password on your account and view the charges in your billing history. You can apply for digital refunds using the refund
request form .I'd also advise adding two step verification to your account for added security.

there should be gift cards now in place of the points cards they used to have. not a perfect solution, but something you could recommend to your wife.
