    Still problems with one guid


    I have enjoyed the new update until now, any time I use the one guid to change channels or even use the guid on my humax freeview box it just bends all out of shap an freezes. I spoke to someone at xbox support for over a hour trying everything but
    nothing worked in the end I did a factory reset and still the same problem, the Microsoft agent has informed me it will need to be sent away for repairs but it seems like a software issue. Has anyone heard of incompatibility issues with the new update?

    Xbox One Guide/Tv Guide Problems

    When the Xbox one first came out the guide for the Xbox one matched the guide for my Comcast cable. A week after buying the console, Comcast in Bluefield, WV 24701 changed their cable channels around due to adding HD channels. Now, the the Comcast guide
    and the Xbox one guide do not match. I have called Microsoft customer service three times over the past year. The last time I spoke to someone we made a three-way call to Comcast and they tried to figure it out but between the two of them there doesn't
    seem to be anything that they can do. Microsoft customer service said there was nothing else they could do, that I needed to speak to someone on this forum. Everyone I have spoken to in this area is having the same issue. How can I get this resolved?

    As a heads up, you shouldn't need a Kinect Sensor to use One Guide. This link here should have some more

    insight     on how to use it.

    what the.... locking a thread due to a post that is on topic for an active problem?

    problem is that this happens over and over. same problem and there seems to be two problems one is that the client app will stop getting new guide data and the user has to re-start the updates manually by clearing the guide. but also a second problem is
    that even if the user clears the client the data still may not get any data.

    in the client app there should be a way to check the guide data feed, see a date of last update and other info to help diagnose the problem.

    I see, what we will have to do next is report the missing channels in TV & OneGuide settings so that this issue can get sent to the proper folks. Follow the steps below to report missing channels in OneGuide.

    • On your Xbox One controller, press the Menu button and select Settings.
    • From the Settings menu, select TV & OneGuide.
    • From here, select Troubleshooting.
    • In the Troubleshooting menu, select 'Report a OneGuide problem', and then select 'Missing Channel' in the drop menu.
    Follow those steps and the report be sent to the proper folks, I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and I really hope you get up and running soon!
