Still got the error code 0x409 even though i have tried every solution provided in forums.

There are several possible reasons as to why you can't sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10. The error code (0x409) 0x80070422 indicates that some of the services the Xbox App uses have not been enabled, or not working properly.

I have the same error and tried the method, reinstalled the app and still have the same(0x409) 0xD000000D error

I get the same issue but only on 1 pc, Reset Windows Stored app and Uninstalled and uninstalled Xbox Console Companion and stil unable to login (0x409) error.

Unfortunately, the resource you shared does not have a solution for the issue I am facing (basis the image above). Every time in click on the sign in button, there is a window that pops up for a fraction of a second and then disappears
and the error code (0x409) 0x80080300 shows up below the sign in button.

Would you happen to have some other solutions for me to try?

Hello GrissomJones, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

Thanks for replying and providing those error codes. Sorry to hear that the issue is persisting. I would recommend that you first check your PC for any updates that may be pending that need to install. Update

Should it still give you the same message, then I would recommend taking a try at the troubleshooting and solutions from a previous thread of the same nature on our forums: xBox
