    Stick Drift


    So I bought a new xbox last year and it came with a warranty for the controller in case anything happens. Well the controller got stick drift a while back and now the left joystick doesnt register when i click it in. When i go to report the problem to
    their contact center, it wont allow me to call or chat with anyone, instead it redirects you to other forums with troubleshooting. How am i supposed to get a new controller, with warranty that i paid for, if i cant even get in contact with thr goddamn company?

    Xbox One Controller, left stick faulting!!!

    I have two controllers BOTH with drift issues. The one left thumb-stick drifts upwards and the other one has a right thumb-stick drift issue that drifts upward.

    Like what the heck am I suppose to do. #SMH

    That's called stick drift and has nothing to do with this firmware issue. Your controller is broken, you can have Microsoft fix it for a fee or replace it. But no software update will fix stick drift.

    Deadzones aren't really intended to fix stick drift. Stick drift is a fault that needs repairing.

    And the customisation is another reason to buy the Elite. They need to make it different from the standard controller.

    Ouch you've had some bad luck. I've not had that issue at all. Mine has always been the audio jack plug failing. But never had stick drift. Maybe you apply a lot of pressure when you play?
