Steam Link APP & XBOX ONE X

As mentioned ir doesn't work kn the xbox

Onlu thing you can do with that is link your Xbox non steam games with your steam app or cloued gaming or the xbox app on the steam deck

But otherwise you can only link for achievement and dlc downloaded from steam for xbox games

i have xbox app and steam,.my steam account and my friend account steam ,we both of them linked already to microsoft ,

When launching the game, you can try clicking sign out at either the main menu or the start screen (or pressing the X key in the main menu) and you will be prompted to sign out of Xbox Live. Clicking "Yes" will complete the unlinking process and return you to the 'Start Game' screen where you can sign in to another account. Once you're signed out, try signing in again to see if it works.

If that doesn't work, try signing out again and then link your Steam account to your Xbox account via Xbox App (not to be confused with the Xbox Companion App):

- Launch the Xbox App

- Click your profile icon at the top and the select "Settings"

- In the "Account" tab (can be seen on the side panel), you should see a section titled "Linked accounts"

From there, you should see a Steam section with an accompanying "Link" button. Selecting this option will open up a window, allowing you to link your Steam account to your Xbox account.

Keep in mind that you want to have your Steam app up to date and you may want to close and re open the app after making these changes.

Just to double check, is your Steam account connected to your Microsoft account?

Open game bar (Windows key + G) > Settings > Accounts > if yes, please unlink it temporarily. After that do the previous, but only the reset and repair thing with these apps:

Game Bar, Xbox App, Sea of thieves app.

Restart your PC, open game bar again and link your steam account. And finally try again .

By the way, the play option (the ones that redirect you to Steam) is the one inside the Xbox PC app?

I understand it now but why post as "Xbox Game Pass" on the Steam community (see link above which mentions "cloud saves" in a post within the Steam community with a link to purchase the game on Steam and not in the Xbox App) if "Xbox Game Pass" saves are not compatible with "Steam Saves". As I've written before, that's just confusing and misleading.
