    Was randomly kicked off of Live while I was streaming a show via the Funimation app and now it refuses to let me log back in.

    Leaving this post makes it evident that I've got no problem with my Microsoft account or my ability to use my internet connection on other devices. I've got a broadband connection and have had no problem whatsoever streaming any show at any point for a very
    long time (not even a minor case of lag), so the issue's also not something related to my internet connection being shoddy or anything else like that.

    Any tips for getting back onto Live would be appreciated. I don't appreciate paying for a service that I'm unable to use due to an issue that's not on my end, regardless of the issue's duration.

    Before anyone leaves a response, the issue has now resolved itself.

    I have no idea of what caused the problem to randomly appear or randomly resolve itself, so if anyone can at least leave an explanation for what may have happened I'd appreciate it as it may help me resolve the issue if it occurs again in the future.

    Hello.

    The error code, "80072EF3" could mean that you're having connection issues or that there is corrupted data on your console's hard drive.

    Possible Solutions

    Solution 1: Power cycle (turn off and on) the console

    Here's how:

    1. On your controller, press and hold the Xbox Guide button for three seconds.
    2. From the on-screen menu, select Turn Off Console and then press A.
    3. Repeat step 1. Your console will turn on.
    Solution 2: Check for and delete corrupted content

    Here's how:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
    3. Select Storage.
    4. Choose a storage location, and then press A on your controller.
    5. Choose Games and Apps, and then press A.
    6. Scroll down and check for corrupted files. A corrupted file will be marked with a yellow exclamation point.
    7. If you find a corrupted saved game file, delete it. Here's how:
    Select the game, and then press A.

    Select Delete, and then press A.

    When prompted, "This will permanently delete the selected content from your console. Are you sure you want to delete?", select Yes.

    Solution 3: Clear the system cache

    Clearing the system cache of possibly corrupted data can resolve problems. Here's how:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
    3. Select Storage.
    4. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
    5. Select Clear System Cache.
    6. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
    Solution 4: Troubleshoot network connection

    Hello Miss Portia. I did indeed phone XBOX support on 12th March. They told me it wasnt their problem and it was either Zune or my router so they were no help at all. Is there any update on this?

    getting same status code 80072ef3 when trying to download movie. tried all of the above and still won't work.

    also, doesn't give me back the choice of trying to stream it instead.

    support suggested deleting zune and re installing it. if that didnt work then deleting my profile and recovering it. i tried to download 2 movies the other day and still no luck with them. xbox only give 1 refund every 12 months apparently so wont be happy
    if they dont fix it.
