    Hey all,

    I just got a Series X today and am super pumped to try this bad boy out. I’ve seen posts in the past regarding using QC35s as a headset and bought the appropriate QC25 cable for Android to plug my headset into the controller. Issue is, no matter what I do, there is always a very annoying static noise in the background. I have tried updating my controller, checking audio settings, and also trying the aux cable that came with the QC35 but with no success. When I turn noise cancelling on, the static becomes even worse. Oddly enough, when I turn the volume all the way up (or above 75% or so through the audio settings) the static disappears, but this volume level is way too high to actually be playable. Anyone have similar issues and any solutions you’ve been able to find?

    To add to this, I have plugged my QC35s directly into the monitor I am using to get sound and have had no issues with static.

    why cant I use good headsets on my X Box?

    I have used my Bose QC35 plugged into the controller and they were fine for me. I can imagine there are others that are better suited for gaming. But these were getting the job done for me.

    neither with the adapter, nor directly with the controller itself. Both the apple earphones or bose qc35 II with apple certified 3.5mm cable - micrpphone didn't work.

    To be honest, im just using the ones from Apple. I would want to use my Bose QC35 though, but I guess it will have the same issue.

    From what I'm reading, the Bose QC35 is just a headset, no mic. Please definitely correct me if I'm wrong.

    This already helped a lot, thanks for sharing those articles. I guess I know what the issue is now. The Bose QC35 just work on the controller with an in-line mic. The mic that is on the Bose already, will not work when connected to the controller.
