Static On My Microphone Fix

It must be static unless some of your classmates tell you that some noise is heard.

you can cancel the microphone in the configuration section and turn off the microphone in the headset controllers

One more thing, when recording videos with my microphone on, there's a static noise in the background, but when talking to my friends through the same mic it's clear. Can this problem have anything to do with the input lag. And this is just a small detail, no need to start helping with the static noise, just a detail, or maybe a clue.

My Xbox One Stereo Headset had the microphone and one of the ear pieces die. I'm currently in the process of sending it in for repair. I never had any static, though.

You can buy a ground loop isolator for $7 on Amazon. It will negate all static. I used this to remove static from my car speakers. If none of the other answers work, it's a cheap and reliable fix.

Interesting suggestion. I am reading that this may only fix the static on my end (which I don't think exists). Any idea if it also will fix the static that others in my party are hearing? For $10 bucks, I'm willing to try this!

Do you have any other controllers you could connect the headset to?

Yes, the console came with two controls, and the other works seamlessly with the headset. Some friends even told me that my voice (microphone) looks better on this second control, which leads me to believe that the problem in the first control is not only the
static noises but also affects the microphone (which my friends say with some strange hisses).
