Static buzzing noise from headset while in a party chat on Xbox using a wired controller

Hi,

I recently bought a wired controller (Thrustmaster eSwap X Pro Controller) for my Xbox Series X. The controller works perfectly, but when I am in a Party with my friends, it continuously sends a feed to the chat (this can be observed on the screen by the display of my chat icon in the top left corner of the screen). The feed is continuous as it the icon does not go away, even when it is dead silent on my side. My friends are also complaining that they keep hearing a static buzzing noise while in a party wait me. I am using a Razer Kraken Tournament Edition wired gaming headset that is plugged in directly to the controller via the 3.5mm audio port.

I have tried all the Xbox chat settings with no success. The problem also does not exist when I am using a wireless controller (Xbox Series X Controller that I got with the console). Therefore, my conclusion was that it was a problem with a controller being wired, rather that the make and model of the controller. I came across a similar problem that was posted in 2017, where it was found that there is some type of interference between the current provided to the controller and the audio chat mic.

Could someone please help me to understand the cause of this static buzzing noise and help me to get rid of it.

everyone I know that is in a party chat and use either a wired or wireless controller charging with a wire emit a buzzing, it is called bad earth on usb and has been this way since the original Xbox one, it is beyond annoying and still cannot believe it has not been addressed.

I prefer wireless controller and wired headset, but I do not recommend using a wired controller and a wired headset. Some headsets will make a weird buzzing noise when plugged into a wired controller. And also, same goes for plugging your wireless controller
into your console to charge a battery pack.

I always prefer the wireless controllers. Never had any problem with them.

The buzzing Sound in the party on a wired controller sounds like a general issue with the party chat and a wired connection. Had a play and charge kit once. That buzzing sound happened to me too, when it was charging while i was playing an in a party.

Basically, the noise is coming from the electrical current running through the controller due to it being wired into the console directly to charge a wireless controller or allow to maintain connection for a wired controller. Unfortunately,
depending on the headset you are using, this buzzing will not go away. In my experience, the only headset I own that does not buzz while I am "wired" into my console are my 100% wireless Turtle Beach 800X Elites. I have the Turtle Beach XO-1, XO-Seven Pro,
800x Elite, Astro A40 and the standard Microsoft Headset (black). As I said, the only ones that don't buzz are the 800 elites because they plug into the console via USB and Optical. All others plug into the controller in one way or another.
