    I purchased a new series x on friday 20,2020. Got the machine set up and started redownloaded COD black ops and Warzone from off the cloud. The machine is in a well ventilated area away from dust. I knew i had a big fan up top and made sure to not cover
    it up. It has plenty of clearance on all sides nor is the console near a heat source.

    My first indication that there was a problem was when i woke up the next morning and noticed the console had shut itself off while downloading content. I had already made sure that the idle power setting was set to never turn off automatically. So the console
    is literally shutting down probably due to a bad heatsink or the fan now performing its one and only function. I have never had an issue with the One X shutting down despite leaving it on all weekend long.

    Microsoft the ball is in your court. Please provide an system update that addresses cooling issues

    My console has somewhat of a similar problem but not exactly.

    The console is quiet whenever at the home screen but whenever playing a game the fan starts to get pretty loud as if it is not ventilated enough and it is overheating but the console is literally on a table with nothing blocking the vents, but it doesn't
    turn off like yours though(Or at least it hasn't yet).

    It was normal the first day I had it and I managed to launch a game yesterday without the fan getting loud too, but after closing out of the game and launching another it is back to being loud again.

    Hopefully it's just a software bug in both of our cases and not a hardware issue.

    Please keep in mind a console can get upto 60degrees and stjll operate

    Ps5 can run upto 65

    There are numerous test videos attesting to this from reviewrers

    Ive also had issues with my xbox one series x shutting down. What is the deal microsoft? Fix your issues. I just paid alot of money for a console not to work. Pretty much bs

    since posting the above i have reset the system to factory defaults. I have hard reset the console using the xbox button. I have pulled the power cable to reset the machine.

    The console keeps crashing during multiplayer cod coldwar. I have also noticed severely reduced graphics during gameplay. The console will boot up, i can load my profile start a multiplayer game and then the console locks up hard or simply crashes when gameplay
    begins. Thats a brand new unopened console that i purchased less that 72 hours ago

    no this is a hardware issue. If consoles are having issue where they have to force a shut down a week after launch this sounds an awful like the 360 red rings of death and i was around for that one also
