Start Up Question Regarding My Xbox One-X Scorpio

To answer your questions:

1) I usually see a message at the top of the menu screen about it not successfully pulling an ip and asking me to unplug the router for 30 seconds at least and try again...

2) No I havent tried clearing the mac address so I will try that.

3) I only seem right now to get the green screen when i restart from the settings menu. Cold boot from controller its 6-7 sec or so and then its the menu screen. no flash screen no green logo screen nothing. I tried talking to support but they were of
little help. Maybe Im asking the wrong questions? What should I be asking?

Update With Some More Questions:

Got up this morning and got the email with the return label for ups etc so thanks Microsoft. I plan to ship it off to get it looked at, but wanted you guys to know about a couple new things I noticed it doing this morning, my console I mean:

1) Using full shutdown from the settings menu and not using the controller method cause it to sit for a full minute or more with a blank screen (light on console still solidly lit btw...) before it finally shuts off. Is that normal guys/gals???

2) Now this morning it seems to be switching between modes when you change it BUT you have to let it sit a few minutes before you go to turn it back on. If you turn it on right away its still stuck in whatever the previous mode it is set
to.

thoughts guys/gals??? I still plan to use the SR# to send it in, but if it holds together i may delay shipping it until boxing day (Since the shipping label email says i have 30 days to send it off...) so i can say i got to play my xmnas gifts. got alot
of games for xmas from family and theyd be upset if i didnt have a chance to try them. Again guys/gals thoughts???

Did all the power cycling steps got the flash screen and green screen. then shut it down after that. started it back up AGAIN using the button on the console and its back to the hyper fast/warp speed boot up. This time googles stopwatch app timed bootup
at like 5.35 seconds lol Any further thoughts???

the wall outlet.

When you say the Xbox isn't assigned an IP does it show 0's across the board in your Network Settings? Or is it that you aren't connected automatically during the instant-on startup?

In Instant-On, the console is always connected to the network so generally it should be connected to Xbox Live once it gets to the home menu.

Have you asked your ISP if your Xbox is on the approved list of devices that can connect to the Network? It could be having issues due to a possible MAC address filter blocking your Xbox's MAC address. I suggest trying to clear the MAC address and restart
the Xbox so that it is more discoverable. From the network settings go to advanced settings and then Alternate MAC address. After, select Clear and let the console restart.

To answer your other 2 points, that startup does not seem normal as the start up time between energy saving and instant-on is pretty indistinguishable. Granted it's not a huge difference, but energy saving mode can take about twice as long as instant on.
Another thing to keep in mind is that startup in energy saving mode should always start with the green Xbox loading screen before it loads the home dashboard. Energy saving mode should not be loading up in 6-7 secs.

Do you have your Xbox plugged into a surge protection power strip or any other

backup power strip, or do you have it plugged directly into the wall?
