  1. Starfield - Xbox PC - Old Mars & Constellation Issue

Hello, I own the Starfield premium upgrade (purchased on my Xbox). Recently, I have tried to play the game also on my pc via Xbox PC, however constantly get the notification that Old Mars and Constellation are missing when I attempt to play my prior saves via Xbox Play Anywhere (i.e., my Xbox saves where the content has been downloaded and present on my Xbox).

I see both the Old Mars and Constellations folders in the main Xbox PC folder. -- Does not work.

I have copied files (from each Old Mars and Constellation folders) located in their (a) standard folder (a variety of files beginning with FF4 and EAC) and (b) the three files found in the Data folder (e.g., the respective BA2 files and ESM files) to the same folders under Starfield). -- Does not work

    :)

Starfield is not recognizing my special pre-order items on one of my PCs, but it is on the rest.

I found a fix on PC from a guy on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/166ugs5/this_save_relies_on_content_that_is_no_longer/

    1. go to your xbox folder :)/xbox games)
    2. in the xbox folder you will find 3 folders\
      1. Constellation
      2. Old Mars
      3. Starfield
    3. go into the Constellation folder and copy all the files except the content folder into the Starfield folder (all the EACExxx files)
    4. go into the Constellation folder -> go into the Content folder -> go into the data folder and copy the 3 files, then go into the Starfield folder -> Content folder -> data folder and paste the 3 files there.
    5. Repeat step 3 and 4 but now for the Old Mars folder. (Copy again the EACE files into the starfield folder and again copy the 3 files from the Old Mars data folder into the data folder of Starfield
    6. launch the game and the error should be gone

Starfield - Xbox PC - Old Mars & Constellation Issue

    Vanessa,

Thank you for your suggestions. Ultimately, they did not appear to work on their own.

However, after reinstalling once more (directly from the Microsoft store), I followed the following Bethesda Support instructions:

The content may be saving to different directories and need to be merged.

To resolve this, take the files listed below and copy/paste them into this folder: C:\XboxGames\Starfield\Content\Data

    Old Mars Pack: C:\XboxGames\Old Mars\Content\Data

    OldMars - Localization.ba2

    OldMars - Textures.ba2

    OldMars.esm

Premium Edition / Constellation Skins: C:\XboxGames\Constellation\Content\Data

    Constellation - Localization.ba2

    Constellation - Textures.ba2

    Constellation.esm

This finally worked (I have seen some instructions online suggest you take additional files from the Old Mars Pack / Constellation folders, but that was not necessary, and I had attempted that multiple times in the past).

Also of note, my content is installed on the D drive rather than C.

Good luck to those venturing further into the Starfield.

I have also copied and pasted the entirety of the Old Mars and Constellation folders into the Starfield folder (overriding any files). Game still boots fine but still states the two DLCs are missing when I launch a prior save.

Starfield - Xbox PC - Old Mars & Constellation Issue

Hello Ronmar T, I'm Vanessa, an independent advisor, and I'm here to guide you on your case.

I'm a player too, and I've had the same issue with this game. The solutions below worked for me, so I tried most of them. After playing again, I didn't have any more problems.

According to the information provided, it appears that the Starfield DLC files, Old Mars and Constellations, are not properly installed on your PC. This could be due to a number of factors, such as:

An error in the original installation of the DLC.
A problem with your PC's file system.
A problem with the Xbox Play Anywhere software.
To try to resolve the issue, you can follow these steps:

Verify that the DLC files are properly installed on your Xbox. To do this, go to your Xbox's Game Library and select Starfield. Next, select Downloadable Content and make sure that the Old Mars and Constellations DLC are installed.
If the DLC are installed correctly on your Xbox, try reinstalling the files on your PC. To do this, go to the Starfield installation folder on your PC and delete the Old Mars and Constellations folders. Next, download the DLC again from the Microsoft Store.
If reinstalling the DLC does not resolve the issue, try repairing the game files. To do this, open File Explorer and go to the Starfield installation folder on your PC. Next, right-click on the "Starfield.exe" file and select "Properties". On the "General" tab, click "Repair".
If repairing the game files does not resolve the issue either, try uninstalling and reinstalling Starfield.
    Additional solutions

In addition to the steps above, you can also try the following solutions:

Verify that your PC meets the minimum requirements to play Starfield.

    Update your graphics card drivers.

Try launching the game in Safe Mode.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help.

    Best regards,
    Vanessa.
