Starfield keeps crashing to the xbox dashboard. Where is the fix for that?

Just a big shout out of Thanks to all community members for your comments of support , I just hope Microsoft and Bethesda read these comments. Both companies should be ashamed at releasing such buggy hardware/software. I’m at level 90 crashed 4 times yesterday, that just when I was at an industrial workbench, and going into my inventory.

Like others have said, my PS5 Never if at anytime I remember crashed so many times, could it be the XBOX ?? OS which I have to say is awful, full of unnecessary tiles and ads you cannot remove, that needs a major overhaul.

I’ve gone Starborn now, so will tolerate another round but I only purchased the XBOX X to play this buggy game, as Greedy Microsoft bought out Bethesda. So we’re stuck with it guys 😥😥

What’s worse is that this game could have been magnificent, I love the concept the graphics are ok, and the freedom. I enjoy the gameplay , there’s so much. I’m hoping in years to come it will get better including the OS it sits on !!!

There seems to be a coding issue with this game.
Once you get to a certain level and have a large inventory it crashes a LOT.
I'm level 105 and have been running around in my new cargo hauler which has 42,000 cargo space, half of which is currently full.

I can go to any screen and it randomly just crashes to the Xbox screen.
Loading hard saves takes minutes instead of seconds.

The issue is the engine they are using does not scale well at all.

I don't know how it has been coded but for a studio that's been around so long, one would have assumed they'd have fixed these problems by now, but no, it keeps happening with every Bethesda game.

I wish they'd fix this soon because I cannot play anymore due to these random crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I play now.
I've tried more ventilation, restarting the Xbox but it's not a hardware issue.
This is poorly written software, plain and simple.

Yep, the last update killed the game. Can't play more than 10 minutes without the game crashing. Sucks because I was really enjoying it. Wish I could just roll back the last update and play the old version, it worked perfectly.

I am having the same issue. I have found 2 things that work, but are pretty annoying...

1. disconnect from Xbox Live / play the game offline...

or

2. if you quick save everything 15 minutes or so, it will only crash maybe once every couple of hours... sometimes though I can go a few day without it crashing...

I don't like being offline, then I can't party chat with friends or have my saves auto uploaded to the cloud, so I have just gotten into the habit of quick saving every 15 minutes or so... just hit the "view" button (in the old days we called this "select") twice and then A... Sure hope they get this fixed, it is an incredibly annoying bug....

I am aware that you're experiencing issues with Starfield on your Xbox. There are a few things you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Make sure your Xbox is up to date with the latest system updates. You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > Updates.
   
2. Try clearing the cache on your Xbox. To do this, hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console and wait 10 seconds before plugging it back in and turning the console back on.
   
3. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Make sure you have enough storage space on your Xbox before reinstalling the game.
