Starfield Game Save Error - Xbox Series X

Platform: Xbox Series X

Date/Time: Ongoing

Bug Description: Autosaves and Manual Saves cause an error message to popup, displaying the message in the photo attached. I've cleared out space on my console and have 9.2GBs of free space on my console, and i just checked the saved data page, and it says 2.8GBs, so the saving system might need to be optimised to use less space in each save. (Also sorry about the low camera quality).

Steps to reproduce: have around 80 saves and try manually saving or auto saving.

Note: it’s also causing my game to completely freeze for a few seconds whenever I load into an area through a door and also whenever I enter the menu, it’s also causing some rare complete freezing causing me to need to restart my game.

The only thing that temporarily fixed it was to clear the local game saves from the Xbox console, but it started giving error messages again after a few days, and only worked once, the second time that I did it, I lost some progress as it deleted some saves for some reason, most likely caused by a save cap. Also it takes around 30 mins to sync the save data with my console, by it downloading from the cloud.

But yea, it's extremely annoying, cause the error pops up whenever I enter a menu or enter an area, also here're the technical details:

Game was installed Digitally without a physical copy Disk.

Game Version: V1.7.33.0

Console: Xbox Series X

Console OS Version: 10.0.25398.2258 (xb_flt_2309zn.230918-2000)

I Contacted Bethesda Support about it but they told me to Contact Xbox Support about it.

I'm only on Xbox, also. Loading Starfield save games from Series S to Series X and back.

The fix I suggested above doesn't always work. Since posting it here, I've seen it work about 30% of the time. Initially when it worked a few times consecutively, I thought it might be a relatively decent workaround, if not a semi-permanent solution.

I was wrong.

There have been times when Starfield doesn't appear at all in the Quick Resume menu, or does and then disappears from it, which in itself is odd, and makes me think QR is still a root or at least one factor contributing to this issue.

Since reporting my possible solution on 9/26/2023, I've needed many times to have one Xbox on, idling on its home screen, go to the other and log in, start Starfield there, and that will allow the game to sync saves between the Series X and Series X and vice versa.

I'm still waiting on a permanent fix from Bethesda or Microsoft on this issue.

3. Try manually syncing your saved games by going to the "Manage Game & Add-ons" section of Starfield on both your Xbox Series X and PC. From there, select "Saved Data" and then "Sync Now."

all I can see is delete all and delete, or clear

are you sure this Sync now is available in xbox x??? or is just my xbox x dont have this function

I have exactly the same message and I have no auto sales at all. How about that?

Just lost around 17 days worth of effort. I got to lvl 107 when the save issues occurred and lost all my saved data. Unfortunately, after facing similar issues with Fallout 4, I have lost faith in Bethesda. I feel, after reading many posts online, that Bethesdas reputation for poor product delivery could also harm Xbox. In no part do I place any blame on Xbox.
