starfield crashes to dashboard at loading, suggestions other than canceling gamepass?

I like Starfield. A lot. But I don,t need the aggrivation. There is no error message. XBox X just dumps Starfield from the load last save screen to the Xbox dashboard. Started a few days ago. I am at level 48 with about 150 hours in.

Battlefield andSniper Elite on Gamerpass work fine. Am I looking at another Microsoft Update catastrophe like the one that bricked my Xbone a while back?

Yes I have tried the troubleshooting steps listed on Xbox and Bethesda

Because I have been having issues with the game freezing and crashing since the September update, I reduced the frequency of auto saves, relied on manual saves, created a new manual save file each time and deleted the old files so I don't have too many save files because there is an issue with keeping too many save files. Unfortunately, Xbox doesn't allow access to be able to download save files so there is no way to back them up.

So now I'm stuck with save files that the game doesn't state are corrupted but causes Starfield to crash to the Xbox Dashboard within seconds of loading the game.

Bethesda designed the game and designed how the game is saved to record the progress. It's really mind blowing that after 20 years of Designing games Bethesda still has this same problem with corrupted save files.

This exact same issue happened when I played Oblivion about 20 years ago. It has been that long since I have played a Bethesda game.

The first step I would recommend is power cycling your Xbox:

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller.

no error messages, the game never technically crash, just never load.

no issues with any other games on PC gamepass, or computer in general.

Forza motorsport unplayable on series s, Darktide unplayable on series s, starfield unplayable on series, Gotham knights unplayable on series s... All these day one release from gamepass crash with in a couple mins and are unplayable please fix.

I am still getting these issues where it will not load tracks and crashes back to dashboard. I then can not load any other game and have to hard reset the Xbox One!

This just isn't right..
