Stardew Valley and some other games on gamepass have no icon on start menu

If I may ask are you on Xbox or PC?

I saw you raised a request on the Stardew Valley Forum (which is good). But my experience is that because this is downloaded and installed from Gamepass, it is a different install file than the one downloaded from Steam. There were some bug fixes in the Steam installation, that are still not available on Gamepass.

I dont have any confirmation of this, but is my assumption.

That leaves us in the odd position of who is responsible for support and until you know what the cause of the issue is you have to raise the issue with both Stardew Valley developers and Gamepass.

That said, my personal experience was that Xbox support were not helpful and just suggested the same troubleshooting steps above in this thread and then told me to raise the issue with Stardew Valley directly.

I havent played the game since then.

Christopher who initially responded to the thread was super helpful so credit to him... it was the Xbox Support team that was unhelpful.

As a suggestion on the way forward for you, I would recommend following the steps that Christopher shared in the thread, cos that effectively resets the game store and the Stardew Valley installation files and the bits in between. if that doesnt fix the issue then its Stardew valley forums or support.
