Star Wars 4K HDR Blu-ray unsupported

on the 10th April I purchase Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and as soon as I could I popped it straight into my Xbox one S and nothing happened. Having gone through the usual procedures; reinstall Blu-ray app,

Full system restart,

Trying a few other 4K HDR titles,

And checking my tv connection and compatibility in the Xbox advance video settings,

I also tried the above on an Xbox one X for comparison with no luck.

I then turned to the Microsoft support team who were very helpful and we both came to the conclusion it was the disc corrupted.

However, the Amazon product page was full of the same error across more than just Xbox one S/X console’s where even a replacement didn’t solve the problem.

Is there a Microsoft Mod or rep who can answer whether or not Xbox just haven’t updated their system to correct this issue.

As of 19:53 20th April the problem still exists on my system.

4K Movie Only Displays at 1080p

Recently purchased Underworld Blood Wars on 4K blu ray and it is only displaying at 1080p. All other apps and games are showing in 4K. Settings have been verified. TV is an older LG 4K UHD that isn't HDR capable.

Please help!

 

Xbox One S Dolby Atmos Support

Hi guys i have just bought a dolby atmos sound bar but now the 4k blu ray says no hdr device.

The picture is much worse as minus hdr but the sound is very decent.

My set up is

tv 55 sony xe90

xbox one S

sony ht xf9000 dolby atmos virtual surround bar and sub woofer

+ 4k blu ray.

all cables 2.0 hdmi.

Any ideas why now it wont play 4k blu ray in HDR?

Microsoft are aware of this and investigating the issue. I have read elsewhere that if you eject and re insert the disc 4-5 times has helped some people get the film to work.

I had the same issue. There is nothing wrong with your console, it's not faulty. I had to do a couple of restarts, inserts and ejections of the disc to finally get it to play.
