Standard Xbox Headset Making Crackling Noises

And when it connects my headset makes crackling noises and reconnects and my controller just disconnects and reconnects

I remember having those issues lol. If your headset connects via head set adapter, update the adapter that should fix the issue. If it doesn't then buy an xbox one headset adapter it should come with a little wire you plug into your xbox so you can update
it's software and sync it to the console and from then on no more crackling will be heard. If you using an Xbox One x controller with a little headset port that's the best quality hearing your going to get with the crackling. Anyways its not so bad, to be
honest I wouldn't waste a dime on a headset adapter i would just sit back relax ignore the crackling and play my game. I hope this helps you.

I have the same problem. I have tried numerous headsets and headphones as well as multiple controllers and the issue persist. It seems to be a radio frequency issue. It gets worse as time goes on. I have an Xbox One X and I may send it in under warranty
because I cannot resolve the issue.

• At one point does it start to make the crackling noise? Is it during a specific
  time like during in-game chat or party chat?
