Spotify refusing to play songs after ads

About a week ago, I've noticed that Spotify has been freezing after playing around 2-3 ads. It doesn't either go to the next ad, or play the next song in rotation. It just stays on that ad, waiting for you to go pick a song from the app itself. When you do go to the app, there's no indication that anything is playing in the bottom left of the screen, so it's as if you opened the app for the first time. You can't get past the issue connecting a device to your Xbox, as it's technically still playing the ad. I've tried deleting the app, and was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, and if they've somehow found a "fix". Thanks.

May I ask, do your other apps work? If Spotify is the only one having this issue, try using a different account and see if the same problem occurs. If the problem persists, delete the app, perform a power cycle by holding down the power button on your console for 10 seconds until the console turns off, then wait for at least 60 seconds before turning it on before reinstalling the app. If that doesn't work, you may need to contact Spotify if they have an ongoing issue regarding their app.

Have you tried searching for spotify on the store from another account on your console then try to install the app?

I haven't had this problem. My problem with spotify: I was listening to an album, then an ad came on, when the ad ended there wasn't any audio. I opened the app to see if it was paused. I pressed play on a song, no audio, tried a different album still no audio. I closed spotify then when I reloaded it said Something Went Wrong. Reload, This App Needs To Be Reinstalled (never seen that message before). Reinstalling didn't help. After closing and reinstalling multiple times finally spotify just started working again. Also awhile back spotify would close itself randomly after a few songs, no other game or app would do this.

YouTube plays fine, it’s the Spotify app. The songs cut off every now and then

So i was just jamming out to stuff on the spotify app on xbox but then an ad came up and instead of waiting for it to skip cause i couldnt be bothered i quit out of the app. Now the spotify banner is stuck on my guide screen and i cant get rid of
it, ive tried uninstalling spotify and it was still there i tried even waiting for another ad but it didnt go away. Its so bad that i cant even skip songs from it or adjust certain things. I dont know how to get rid of this please help.

If I was going to use one of those services, I would use Xbox Music. It has 10 million more songs than Spotify. It has 92,000 music videos, so on the Xbox One, if a song you select has a video it'll play it. It's got offline playlists. Online storage for
your own tracks has been announced. In the UK, it's £1 a month cheaper than Spotify premium too.

But yes, I would agree that a Spotify app would be good. All new apps are welcome IMO!
