Spotify refusing to play songs after ads

About a week ago, I've noticed that Spotify has been freezing after playing around 2-3 ads. It doesn't either go to the next ad, or play the next song in rotation. It just stays on that ad, waiting for you to go pick a song from the app itself. When you do go to the app, there's no indication that anything is playing in the bottom left of the screen, so it's as if you opened the app for the first time. You can't get past the issue connecting a device to your Xbox, as it's technically still playing the ad. I've tried deleting the app, and was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, and if they've somehow found a "fix". Thanks.

I have this problem also. No fix I guess. Funny thing is I wanted to go premium this month but no way am I paying for something that freezes

I've had this problem for a couple years now. I think it has to do with having Spotify on other devices where you didn't log out and stopped mid song. It doesn't know what to play next for some reason because it can't differentiate between devices. This is my guess.

But I do know when I physically go back and end the song and log out on the other devices, the Xbox app seems to work properly.

Well it's October 26th so I can tell you they were not preparing to fix it.

Oh they were just prepping for the ad update. I've been listening to nothing but straight ads for half an hour now

December 3rd and no fix. This has been happening to me since early 2022. Very annoying
