Spotify not producing sound or working properly

Discus and support Spotify not producing sound or working properly in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; When I try to listen to a song on spotify nothing happens.     Spotify not producing sound or working properly


    When I try to listen to a song on spotify nothing happens. I press play I’m then met by like two seconds if silence then it just pauses the song. Sometimes it just shuffles through my playlist. I tried to look up a solution (adjusting volume) but it didn’t work. I’ve also tried reinstalling and play via my phone but to no avail. Does anyone have the same problem or a solution?

    Hi,Alex! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

    Hmm that is weird. Spotify should play at all times, not only when you are ingame

    Try performing a full power cycle

    Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

    Wait at least 2 minutes

    Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

    Hi You checked the your Sound Configuration? Try make a soft reset to see if works. If don't work i suggest you make a Report about this Bug

    I didn't get to that yet, but next time I'll look into it. I tread carefully with settings when I didn't change anything for it to suddenly not work, just in case it's a server side issue on Spotify's end or an update to the app rendering it useless. Anyway
    before I could try that it's suddenly working so I'm guessing Spotify was having issues with syncing maybe.... Who knows :)
