Spotify audio crackle / static whilst playing a game.

Hey all.

Recently I get the issue of audio crackling / static when listening to music through Spotify and playing a game at the same time. If I close the game down, the issue seems to disappear.

I have reported the issue through the console report function and also have noted that someone else has mentioned this on the Spotify forum (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Windows-Phone-etc/Xbox-One-app-songs-crackle-while-p...) with
others stating they've encountered this. It may be worth noting that I am also in the Preview Program too.

Sorry if this has been asked somewhere already but I can't seem to find a fix. If anyone else is experience this issue and/or has a solution to this could you please let me know.

Spotify Audio Issue

When I launch Spotify while playing a game, it cuts off all game audio. It used to play both Spotify and game audio. I want to be able to listen to music while hearing what is going on in a game.

An audio mixer needs to be added to the settings

You should be able to mute everything but one source so that you could do something like play music from spotify while playing a muted game. This is not currently possible except for the cases in which the games have built in audio mixers.

Hey Christoffx; a month later, is this still an issue for you? If so, what are your settings on the console's audio settings page? Are you listening via speakers or headphones?

Since the August 1st 2016 update. Red Dead Redemption has had terrible frame rate drops and extremely choppy game play.

Also the audio has a ton of static when navigating. Crackling etc.

Do you play music whilst listening? Spotify or the other music apps might be altering your settings.

It depends of the game. If the sound of the game is part of a mechanic, I prefer to play with the original audio. Now the multiplayer I play with a playlist of Spotify.

Yep, same problem here. I've been playing Destiny 2 and I never hear any static while playing but as soon as I go to the dashboard I hear awful static, crackling, popping ect. Both through my headset and my TV speakers.
