Spotify App stops playing music all together when an ad is queued

All the music that had a match in Spotify’s catalog now appears in your Spotify library and playlists. All your purchased or uploaded non-Groove Music Pass music will remain untouched in the Windows 10 and Xbox Groove Music apps. Music you own and
that is stored locally on your hard drive or on OneDrive is untouched and will continue to be playable from your local hard drive through the Windows 10 and Xbox Groove Music apps.

I think Spotify have some deal with PlayStation, so they can't or won't make an app for Xbox One right now. Spoticast is an unofficial app, it doesn't play the music from Spotify, it searches for the songs in your Spotify account on YouTube and plays them
from there. So you don't actually need Spotify Premium to use Spoticast at all.

If you have a Windows laptop or PC that you can use, the Stream What You Hear app lets you stream sound from your PC to Groove Music on your Xbox, so with that switched on you can play music from Spotify and hear it on your Xbox. This has a slight delay
but since it's just music that doesn't matter too much.

Yes i have. Between my mother and Fathers house i have taken my xbox back and fourth and at both houses with different TV’s and different high speed HDMI cables from the original xbox’s, the same thing still happens. Originally when this would occur the music just wouldn’t play at all. Then the game sound would stop working and now the sound stops working all together. All from using spotify whilst playing a game and then closing the game out. Any other suggestions ?

Do you play music whilst listening? Spotify or the other music apps might be altering your settings.

All of my tracks are DRM free MP3 files. When loaded into another piece of music playing software, like Spotify or iTunes, all of it displays perfectly.

I have tried: Uninstalling the Windows 8 music app, removing my music library from the Music library and then adding it in to force it to be discovered again - none of which helped in getting Xbox Music to recognise these tracks correctly.



All of my other software recognizes them correctly.
