Spotify app on Xbox One X not working properly

This is happening a lot now and occasionally working. (which is why I finished the last post about this)

I open up the Spotify app and sign in (yes, apparently we have to choose that every time now...). I go to play something, say a podcast, and it just goes to the old playlist song instead. I can't even play this old song, no sound and no action happens. Just
stays there not doing anything. I cannot get the app to play anything new.

I've made sure that the phone and webplayer apps aren't active. No difference. I cleared Xbox cache thinking maybe it's stuck on that. No difference. I've uninstalled the Spotify xbox app and reinstalled it. No difference.

I think the app is broken.

When whoever's job it is fixes it, can you please add an option to clear playlist.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We suggest reporting the issue to Spotify. Let them know that the app keeps having issues on the Xbox. Here is a link to

Hi You checked the your Sound Configuration? Try make a soft reset to see if works. If don't work i suggest you make a Report about this Bug

I didn't get to that yet, but next time I'll look into it. I tread carefully with settings when I didn't change anything for it to suddenly not work, just in case it's a server side issue on Spotify's end or an update to the app rendering it useless. Anyway
before I could try that it's suddenly working so I'm guessing Spotify was having issues with syncing maybe.... Who knows

uh say what? all the apps should work as intended.

there is no spotify app on xbox one, so its not even an option to be disappointed.

if you are talking about the web version, its all spotifys fault
