Splosion Man save corrupted/save not updating (possible major 360 emulation bug on Xbox One)

I've been playing Splosion Man lately on my Xbox One, and today the game decided it does not want to update the save anymore.

So what happens is if I quit the game and restart it, it keeps loading up the same older, earlier save. It doesn't matter if I make more progress and select save and continue (even seeing the 'saving...' icon in the corner). This includes beating the game.
Beating the final boss kicks me to the title screen, and when I press start, its back at the old save. I want to be able to play hardcore mode and complete this game, but this bug won't let me.

This game has no tangible save. The save is tied to the player profile data so I can't scrap the save and start over.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I've tried playing on a different console, a 360 system, clearing the system cache (on both 360 and One), deleting and redownloading the game, redownloading my profile, everything. The save for this game is stuck at the same place no matter what I do.

I also get a message when I start the game on the 360 that the game was played on a different console and its loading that save.

What seemed to cause this to happen was I had the game running, and I went to the Xbox One's Home menu. I was distracted by a phone call, and apparently I was away long enough that the game timed out or crashed. I don't know which, but it was no longer running
when I came back. From that moment forward, the save became stuck and I can't save my progress.

Xbox One Feature Request

I like the following scenario:

To be able to play some Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One console via Emulation. However there will/could be some drawbacks. For example, Game saves from an Xbox 360 console cannot be transferred to an Xbox One console unless that 360 game's saves are available
in the cloud. Xbox Live functionality for some games on Xbox 360 games will be discontinued. You can, however, play system link between Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. Lastly, not all games will be supported.

Maybe you have a corrupted save file. Not 100% sure on that, but it's possible.

If a save game gets corrupted (specially in a backward compatibility game) there isn't much you can do but delete the corrupted save file and start over.

My suggestion is to save often as things like these tend to happen with old game emulators

Almost seems like a compatibility issue but it shouldnt be. Possibly something going on with the emulators on one of the xboxs.

Have you tried going into the game app location and delete any update file or small saved oatch files. Reopen the game and see if it downloads any updated or non corrupted files.

Maybe even delete the xbox cache on both of them and restart the xboxs.

I don't think that save information can be read from 360 to Xbox One. Any 360 related saves would only be read while using the Xbox 360 emulator. The Xbox One cannot access 360 save files.

Please remember this isnt JUST an issue with xbox one backwards compatibility. The Ms Splosion Man saves dont work on my 360 console either. Why would save files that are physically present on both my HDD and the cloud, not be used when starting up the
game? Its like the game doesnt acknowledge that i have save files on my storage devices. Also, thr saves are connected to my zhalcyondays account, it says im the owner of the files. However with a game called The Splatters, there are no physical save files
and there is nothing on thr cloud for this game, however i did 100% play this maybe 6 months ago on my xbox one, so where have thise save files gone?
