    Splitting Xbox One controller to PC and Console


    So a couple years back my friend helped me buy and Elgato HD so I could stream and make YouTube videos. I haven't been able to use it to its full potential due to the lack of a mic, but I'm very close. I was curious as to if it was possible to use a USB splitter
    to split the controller to my laptop, as well as go to the console so I can still use it to play games. I don't want to have to buy an external mic (since a good one is expensive) so I've been fiddling around with audio splitters and nothing seems to be going
    my way. Any ideas on if the USB splitter will work?

    Hi Microsoft,

    So I have an Xbox One S with two wireless Xbox One Controllers already paired to it. But I recently got a Windows 10 PC and I want to pair one of the controllers to my PC. But I don't how to do that. When I turn my controller on, with a usb connected from
    the controller to the pc, my Xbox console turns on. How do I pair my wireless controller, that is already paired with my console, to the PC? Do I have to disconnect the controller from the console (and if so, why)? Please answer this for me and thank you Microsoft.

    Xbox One Elite controller not working anymore after (failed?) Xbox Accessories firmware upgrade

    Hi Neecko92,

    Seems like the only workaround now is to connect your Elite controller to a Xbox One console, and update your Elite controller via the Xbox One console. Then it will work on your PC again.

    Why is crossplay forced on us?

    well considering that you can use KnM on console is a null point now, also series x having way faster framerate than Xbox one is also another area of contention, they should split all the devices up and disable crossplay between Xbox one, Xbox series and pc and then force all consoles to use controller.

    support for split screen is not universal with games however dual controllers will enable the mode in supported games

    having said that in the old days when consoles were not as available I recall playing quake II in a quad split screen with an ancient PS2

    even games on the PC occasionally feature split screen

    I want to play an Xbox 360 game with split-screen on my Xbox One X. For the primary account signed in, I can use the wireless Xbox One controller that came with my Xbox One X. But I would like a guest to be able to use one of my Xbox 360 controllers, as
    I only have one Xbox One controller. I have a 3rd party (USB) wired and other official wireless Xbox 360 controllers.

    I tried using both of these Xbox 360 controllers to try and connect to the Xbox One X using the sync feature but none of them connected. The lights on the Xbox 360 controllers just flash infinitely.

    I did hear that Xbox 360 controllers are not compatible with Xbox One’s but does this apply to the Xbox One X as well?

    I also tried using the stream Xbox → Windows 10 feature and plugged in my 3rd party USB Xbox 360 controller to my PC which did connect to my Xbox though streaming, however it kept overriding my Xbox One controller by connecting as player 1. I
    need it so one of them is player 1 and the other as player 2 so two of us can play split screen.

    Is this at all possible, using an Xbox One and Xbox 360 controller?

    Maybe you can achieve this using console streaming to PC and connecting both controller to your PC, so the PC have 2 different controllers plugged in and you can use with 2 different player.

    As additional info, every Xbox One wireless controller can work as a wired one using a simple USB cable.

    Hey! For split screen on Minecraft, pair two controllers to the Xbox console and press the start button to the right of the large Xbox button.
