    Hello. Does the speed of the internet affect the quality of streaming between Xbox One and Windows 10 Laptop? Does the main role play the distance of the console and laptop from the router, with WiFi connection?

    Of course it will be better... Kindof overkill though, but you'll be able to stream with really good quality.

    Generally with 1mb upload, you can stream low quality with no issues. 2mb would let you stream decent enough quality that quality wouldn't be an issue.

    No, your internet speed does not affect the quality of streaming to a local PC. If you are streaming over WiFi, then there are a couple of things that will affect the quality:

    1. What type of WiFi (A/B/G/N/AC) AC is capable of the fastest speeds

    2. Distance to, and obstructions between you and the router. The further away, and the more walls, furniture, etc. that are in the way will slow things down

    3. How many users are on the same WiFi. The more users, the less speed each person gets.

    A wired connection is preferred for local streaming.

    Just a note.

    Your internet connection speeds provided by your ISP doesn't count when you're streaming to other devices on your own network. What counts is the quality of your own network.
    I'm at student accommodation, I imagine that the quality should be great.

    Would the Xbox app still tell me that I can stream in High quality if I couldn't?

    Microsoft along with sony and many other places have reduced the download speeds to ease the load on their servers but also the internet as a whole, netflix has also reduced streaming quality in europe too
