Specific Games Won't Launch On Series X

I can't get 2 games to launch on my Series X. PUBG & Halo: MCC. They work on my Xbox One (OG Version) but not on Series X. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, reset with games/apps and complete factory reset multiple times. I've talked to both publishers. Both can't figure why this is. One suggests I have a hardware issue. I don't know what to do? Especially since I bought the system from a friend and don't have his receipt but I have all original box/stickers/parts/etc. Any help is appreciated

The backwards compatibility team is working on the Series X so there won't be anymore games from the 360/original Xbox made back compatible until after the Series X launch.

That said, I would love to see Gotham City Impostors made playable on the Series X. That game was so much fun!

Are you using a Series S/X?

Series S/X optimized games can only run from the internal SSD or an expansion card made specifically for the Series S/X.

Ok I have both versions of GTA downloaded on my series x the Xbox one version works fine on the series x I then downloaded the series s/x version on the series x I then launched the game and it gives the error message

Would a network issue stop games from launching?

OP: Which platform are you on? Xbox (XB1 or Series X/S) or PC? Is it all games or just particular ones? When you say loading, do you mean the game won't launch or they won't install?
