Specific ads freeze the window

Discus and support Specific ads freeze the window in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Certain ads will freeze the window during game play.     Specific ads freeze the window


    Certain ads will freeze the window during game play. I don't mind the ads placed where they are, but can you resolve the freezing issue? Also, please make it possible to report those ads which cause problems from within the window.

    Freeze had been happening with Glasses USA ad. Now happening on a worse scale with skyscanner causing program to freeze then crash.

    Yes, same for me with the above mentioned ads. I cannot play when skyscanner ad is on.

    Sorry to hear about the problems with the ads. Can you tell me if it's worse with specific ads? If so which ones?

    Also what kind of computer do you have?

    We're trying to fix this but need help in reproducing the problem.

    Ads affect game play-----apparently fixed as of 07/28/2017. Thank you.

    Disagree! Still broken with ads freezing gameplay and being a CPU hog (as of July 31 2017) on Windows PC app.

    It's probably the last thing you would want to hear depending on how far you've gotten....but there is a chance it might have something to do with the save file itself.

    Try moving the save file to a USB, remove the USB and then start a brand new game from scratch to see if you can play without any problems.

    I remember I had an issue with an autosave a few years back with Oblivion...and I couldn't make it 5 minutes after loading that file...and the cause of the problem was when I was moving to fast for the game thanks to a speed potion and I crossed an autosave
    marker.

    In case the new game file doesn't work, try the Dead Rising 2 solution of leaving the save file on your usb and when you play the game, directly load it from there.

    Hi c:

    Maybe the game is a little glitchy. This is just a suggestion, but since it only does it on DS3 and not on any of your other games, it could be that. I'm not sure when that game was released but make sure that you applied updates for the game (if any exist).
