    Sound issues from Live TV


    Hello! I'm having trouble with the sound coming through my TV When my cable box is connected to my xbox. I'm connected using HDMI to the Xbox which is connected to my TV with the hdmi. The cable works fine, I tested that individually. I have cox cable and
    the model number for my cable box is a Cisco Explorer 8642hdc. The cable picture comes through perfectly there's just no sound. I've tried adjusting the settings on the xbox and the cable box itself but with no luck. Help me please Sound issues from Live TV :)!

    Can someone help me

    I recently send my console to microsoft for repairs because my games weren't being load and played. It was repaired and now I'm having issues with my HDMI output and their is no sound coming from my console during game play. I know is not my tv because I

    TV Audio playing while in XBox Live...

    I have my TV sound going through my audio receiver. When I login to xbox live my TV audio from my receiver is playing even though I'm not watching live TV in xbox live. Not sure if I'm making sense. I'm just trying to figure out how to not have the TV sound
    on while browsing in XBox live. Any ideas?

    Yes go to your cable box settings menu. Then audio output and make sure digital output is not selected. Xbox one dies not support digital audio input. Hope this helps.

    I have the same issue as well. When I switch the tv sound output from sterio to surround sound the sound issue fixes for a little while but eventually reverts to no live tv sound, but sound for everything else. The screen freezing issue occurs no matter
    what and is a huge pain. I have the Element-4605HDC time warner cable box and it works perfectly fine when plugged directly into the tv

    No sound with live TV

    Similar problem here, but everything's coming from HDMI out pass-thru.

    When I first power up my XB1 and go to Live TV I get a picture and no sound. On random occasions I get a black screen (no picture AND no sound). To correct the sound issue I typically have to remove the HDMI OUT cable from the XB1, wait a few seconds and
    then plug it back in, sound returns. When the Live TV is just a blank screen I typically have to restart the console. Both issues are really annoying and I never had the issue prior to the NXOE. The problem's existed since I was in the Preview for NXOE.

    I'm watching FIOS Local channels via Tivo to the XB1.

    By now you'd think this issue would have been resolved.

    Have you tried on a different tv. If the tv is going from 1080i to 1080p or vice versa doesn't that sound like an issue with the tv

    G'day Mandy. Sounds like you're missing the set top box from the equation. Currently, your console is sending info to the TV for its own features but it doesn't sound like it's receiving the information from your TV provider.
