    Today I turned my Xbox on and the menus don't have sound I almost thought my headset was broken but apps and games have sound even then store but menus such as: The quick menu, Keyboard, System settings and other various Xbox menus

    Xbox menu sound not working

    I get this sometimes on my Xbox Series X as well, the easiest way I personally found is to power down your xbox, quit your game and remove it from the quick resume if it's there. Then I normally turn my console off from the guide button, then unplug my console either from the back or switch off at the mains and leave off for a minute. Then switch it all back on. If this persists if you have Xbox Insider and are part of the programme where you recieve console updates early you can report the problem direct from your console. Hope this helps.

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello Joshua, you belong to some Insider ring or have the game in quick resume, if you have remove the game from quick resume, and then restart the console.

    If you've done so and don't belong to an Insider ring, try resetting your console by keeping games and Apps.

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > system > console > system

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note - You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    I have found this can be remedied by adjusting audio from stereo to 5.1. If anyone has this issue give that a try.
