"Sorry, your account isn't able to make this type of purchase"

Ok, I was trying to download "Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six Vegas 2" with the GWG deal, and I get the error as stated above. I already missed last month's "Super Meat Boy" because of this, and I'm trying to wrap my head around why this is happening. It told
me to go to Xbox.com to complete the purchase, so I went on Xbox.com, yet it gave me the same error. I'm fairly certain it isn't parental issues, and I have a valid gold membership on this account. Is someone able to help me? Thanks in advance.

Backwards Compatibility problem

Every time i try to buy a backwards compatibility game on my Xbox One, the page says "Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox." I own an adult account, and have no access to an xbox
360 therefore is there any way of me being able to purchase these games or is that it and I can't? Please help.

Backwards Compatability games require a Billing Account to download 360 games dont worry they wont be billed to your account they wont even show on bank statements go to

Setting - Account - Payment and Billing

It's because of your account to download any 360 games on xbox one you have to make it with a parental account or a 360

Xbox one parental permissions aren't compatible with 360 games so regardless of your parental settings you cannot make the purchase on the xbox one or website

 

Only adult accounts can make such purchases

Child accounts need the correct settings on their 360 console to make the purchase on the console

The unrestricted setting on the one doesn't apply to 360 games as there is no such setting on xbox 360

 

FYI you can make off line accounts but likenps4 you can't have achievements or trophies by doing so

You have to sign in as a guest

 

Trophies on ps4 is an online only thing

 

Okay, is there any possible way to upgrade my account from child to adult, seeing as I made my account a while back? I only bought gold for my account, and sharing gold on console doesn't seem to grant the ability to purchase games on multiple accounts.

 

Also, I don't have an Xbox 360, nor know anyone who does, so that option flew out the window

 

Go into your account settings and change your content restrictions that should clear up any issues you have hope that helps

 

All settings are unblocked, yet I'm still innable to claim the game

 

No the only way around it is the above methods anything else is a violation of the terms of use as it is part of the marketplace controls and the copa laws

If you are using a Child or Teen account you would need to make the purchase on an Xbox 360 console. Then you'll be able to download the game from the
