    Hi sorry to go on, I don't want to violate any rules by discussing self repair with others or anything but the right to repair consoles was passed so surely Microsoft and Xbox should be letting you help people like myself. The hard disk drive is perfectly OK I have checked it the problem I'm facing is that I can't use osu1 as I'm on an insiders build. My Xbox is registered to myself and on microsoft support and on my phone I can tell it to install insiders on my console, if I click that can I then log into my account on a windows 10 PC and unenroll my console from there?

    Yes you can, I believe you just need a payment method that's accepted, so it'd be best if you import a membership card too to overcome that issue.

    Thanks LostKauz. I shall give Microsoft a ring and see what they say. If I cant use an Xbox one it will suck but I guess PS4 is a great console even though I am not a fan of playstation's user interface or the controller!!

    Localisation issues may be a problem as they have not configured the system for your are however.

    You may find problems with offers and regional laws etc. Not carrying stuff over, Net ficks etc. You know you should not use a mirror I guess. So you would risk content.

    My thinking was I would buy a 12 month membership now on my profile on 360, and I'd assume it will carry over to the Xbox one? If it was region locked on Xbox One, I could always change my region to a UK one...
