For the past month I have been getting the error message above, when trying to change my gamertag. This problem has been going on globally for two to three years now.

It will also charge you despite not actually changing the gamertag. Can someone in the know as it were contact the right people to get this fixed. Its one of the most outrageous issues I have encountered on a platform like this.

To be clear: When you try to change your gamertag you may get an error message saying "Sorry something went wrong, please try your gamertag again." and you will still be charged.

To be very CLEAR: It is happening to users all over the world NOT just ME.

i have been having the same issue, i just contacted the support desk about it literally like 2 minutes ago, and they said they're almost finished fixing it, this has been happening for 5 days now so we just have to wait til they get it fixed. i asked for an estimated time for when the issue will be resolved, they said it hopefully will be done by today, as they are almost done fixing it.
