    look to start this I'm just gonna say that I am an Aussie and the no profanity rule is gonna be really hard.

    I am sick and tired of xbox not signing me in no xbox live status and other...…. issues. hard restarting does not fix the issue, I have checked my internet connection (it's Telstra so it is appalling but it works), I have deleted cache etc at least 50 times
    in the last month alone and I am still having an issue that your own forums have had catalogued since 2017!? Now I have checked NAT type and all that I have reset my POS Telstra modem over and over and over. I still get logged out daily then have to repeat
    hard reset of xbox/modem or deleting my account and redownloading it. I am officially at the stage of destroying my xbox with a hammer as at least then I could get 5 mins of enjoyment from this machine.

    So a simple question what actually causes this issue, and is there a guaranteed fix or is it still....Hard reset xbox/modem and hope that it will work or muck about with my internet settings for 30mins only for the issue to happen again almost instantly...…..Should
    have stuck with playstation.

    If you have any problem with connecting to Xbox LIVE or your Xbox account at any time. Just check the status of Xbox LIVE for the first step.

    This may mean there's a network connection issue. If you are using wifi try a wired connection.

    Hello!

    The most common cause is some sort of networking issue, whether it be your internet service provider, networking equipment, wifi signal, etc. Does it do the same thing on both a wired and a wireless connection?

    Hey there darkshine!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue and can totally understand how this could be frustrating.

    Don't smash your console yet though. There are a couple of things that you can do. You can give the steps outlined in our

    Xbox One Disconnect Solution
    for help with getting cut off or not letting you sign in. Also, you can make sure that your router/ modem settings ports are forwarded to the numbers for Xbox Live as outlined in

    Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One
    .

    If everything seems right with your connection and you're still getting signed out of Live, then you can also try a reset of your console. I just would save this troubleshooting step for last as if you do have problems with the internet not connecting to
    the Xbox, you might have to put an update on a flash drive instead and do it from there.

    The soft reset is a reset of your console to factory defaults without your games getting uninstalled and helps with a variety of issues. Also make sure that you know all your sign in info for your accounts because they
    will be removed during this step and you'll have to redownload them from the cloud. Just check out

    and choose the option to
    reset and keep my games & apps when you get to the appropriate screen.

    When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helps.
