Sorcery help

Im wondering if anyone has played this class and what the best spec to level up would be because the dagger sucks as a main weapon. Im currently level 31 w/ 78k souls saved not to meantion the ones that you can break have 35 int and 19 attunement. Other
than that im using stock gear and weapons. Also I want to do pvp and not sure how to set a class up. So far I have used warrior and this. Also why am i getting so many messages saying lost connection to such person world when I invade and i lose the item to
invade with.

Intelligence and attunement are the most important stats to level up if using a sorcerer. You can upgrade strength and/or dexterity to meet the minimum requirements of the weapon you want to use. Magic and enchanted weapons will scale with intelligence.

 

So is there a cap on stats so I know.

 

There are caps, yes. 50 Attunement gives you 10 slots for spells, and that's it. Any further point does no good. The intelligence caps are based on the catalyst that you are using (there is also 1 spell that requires 50 INT to use it). I'd suggest checking
out this page to see which catalyst you should be using and where the cap is:

DEX also helps with your casting speed, so increasing that may be useful. So, using a DEX weapon might be a good idea. You can also get the Moonlight Greatsword or the Moonlight Spear, both of which scale with INT and do magic damage. Also, Velka's Rapier
can be a good magic weapon as can any other weapon on the magic or enchanted path of upgrades...even daggers (depending on how you use them).

For PvP, using a mage can be difficult until you get the hang of it. It requires you to learn how to be sneaky and unpredictable, as well as how to control your spells. You should definitely use dark magic if you have the DLC. Also, learning how to cast
with your left hand, while having a weapon in your right hand can be very helpful.

As for losing items, that happens if you lose connection after the invasion has started. My suggestion would be to join the Darkwraiths and get the Red Eye Orb which has unlimited uses so that you don't have to worry about running out of invasion items.

@R3D PO1nt Thx for the info might have to restart since i got to much int because I have no idea where big hat person is to get the thing i need. Also I have no idea how to make the moonlight spear or GS.

 

The first time you encounter Big Hat Logan is in Sen's Fortress. You'll need to use the big steel balls to break through a wall. You'll also need the Master Key to unlock his cage.

There is another mage named Griggs of Vinheim that you can get by unlocking the house he is trapped in. The house is located in Lower Undead Burg.

 

You don't have to use the master key to unlock Logan's cell. The key that opens up the shortcut also opens his cell.

Moonlight Butterfly Horn is the spear that you make from the soul of the Moonlight Butterfly (using the Giant Blacksmith and a +10 spear). The Moonlight Greatsword comes from chopping the tail off of a dragon boss that you may or may not have encountered
yet.

If you are serious about being a spell caster, then 35 INT is not too much. You'll want to have enough to cast Crystal Soul Spears at least and to use Logan's catalyst and the Tin Crystallization Catalyst as well (although the TCC caps out earlier than
Logan's, it still does more damage, but halves your castings).

 

Does anyone have a dark knight greatsword or sword they dont want and 4 Twinkling Titanite. I will trade for mats people need.

 

Just a note, you can't buff black knight weapons. As a sorcerer you may want to go with a regular +15 weapon that you like using and buff it with crystal magic weapon.

 

Yea but the dark knight weapon is for my warrior which never drops iv redone warrior 15x. So I take it the forging of a weapon to crystal has magic built in?

 

No. Crystal Magic Weapon is a spell that you can cast with your sorcerer. You can cast it on regular path upgraded weapons.

 

Any one know how 2 kill undead in The Catacombs and if so could you tell me how to do it.

 

Use a divine weapon. You can also kill the necromancer that respawns the skellies in an area and they'll stop respawning. Necromancers don't respawn at bonfires, although the skillies will, but they will stay dead after killing them again.
