    Son is playing under my account


    When we first got the Xbox we set up a profile and started playing. My son has been playing under that sign in for awhile. I want to set time restrictions and other parental controls now but can't because all my son's progress is under my account. Is there
    a way to change it and make it a child's account so I can put it under another one and be the parent of it.

    I told my son to create a new one but he said he would lose all the stuff he earn under the parent account.

    Sorry I'm not explaining myself very well.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You could try creating a new account for you and then adding the other account to the family account.

    You would need to edit the information on your account to reflect his birthdate so that it falls into the child account status. Adding two step verification to secure the account, adding a passkey to prevent unauthorized purchases, and setting the privacy
    and security settings to protect him while online are all things that you should consider as well. Best of luck!

    just got the xbox one for my son for christmas. we weren't able to sign into my account so we signed in w/ my son's account. that worked, but im still unable to sign in under mine to play w/ him.

    Can my children play my games on PC (Xbox play anywhere)?

    Not sure if I am understand the answer completely in English.

    1. It is not possible to let children play under my account - it is not systematic from many points of view.

    2. When I log into Windows under son account then open MS store and try to log under my credentials I am not succesfull (it says that domain off my email address is not recognized), which probably means that I am not allowed to instal the game with my credentials

    Why am I unable to play two different games under a shared xbox family account? Why is there a one game at a time rule?

    Yes my sons account is set up under my home xbox account. What happens is if I'm playing a game and my son opens a game on his console to try and play, a window pops up asking "which session to end". Then I'm given the option to end mine or his account.
