"something went wrong" not going away.

I am trying to log into halo master chief collection for the first time and after a few wrong passwords i got the "something went wrong. There is a problem with your Microsoft account. To fix this go to account.live.com from a browser" and i did, i logged
in to the link it wanted me to. But now i am unable to login or even try as every time i try to login (press enter to start to login with Xbox live) and even i have closed the game and relaunched it. Any help?

Have you updated the client to the latest? Is this a Windows 10 Store, Steam, or Xbox One version? Have you been able to launch it before? We're happy to help, but will need a bit more information on the issue you're experiencing to troubleshoot further.

steam version for me. Game launches but i cant sign in when asked.

I am not sure about the OP but I am experiencing a similar problem, steam is up to date as well as game. I have attempted to uninstall and even refund the game while deleting all local files. The problem persists and I can not find a way to fix it.

ALSO I attempted to buy the game on Microsoft store but Install is greyed out on the search but if I click it anywhere else it asks me to install on my devices and than tells me no applicable devices, I have made sure my pc is linked and even my offline
hub? I guess as that was an option or something.

Still cant play halo, sort of dying inside.
