Something Redeemed Isn't working, Help!

I used points to redeem this card and still have not gotten it. Would like to know either when/how I will be getting it, or how I can get my points back. Please and thank you.

The points I redeemed aren't working

I got an email after I redeemed my points for a 10$ Xbox digital gift card and it isn't working at all

My 12 month xbox live codes isn't working but any other code will work

Does the code appear in your purchase history and is the status ''redeemed''?

Click on the game icon in your purchase history, a new Microsoft tab will open, check if ''Playable on'' appears on consoles or PC. If PC appears, it means that your friend gave you the PC version and you can only use the content on the PC.

There is no way to exchange or ask for a refund, as the code was used.

Ahh yes thank you that was the issue he gifted me the PC version of the upgrade thank you for the help. I'm not sure how the gifting feature works when on separate platforms but i assume PC can only gift PC versions and vice versa for Xbox

Clean your console's MAC and try to install the content through the Microsoft Store or your library.

To clean the MAC follow this path
Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.
