Someone picked my name before me

Hello to everyone! Some years ago i picked my first xbox one i was going to chose the name i use in every game account "Giova03" but i've seen someone picked up it and so i picked another name, today i've seen the account who choose my name is inactive and
so i was thinking if there was a method for removing my actual name and take the name "Giova03".

Can someone sue me for my Gamertag?

I have a question. I have a Gamertag for about a year now, its called . My name is Ronald so I picked RNLD. Two weeks ago someone sent me a message saying that he owns a Youtube channel with exact the same name wich has 8000 subscibers and he is in
a network. He says, he will sue me if I dont change it because it is copyrighted or branded or something. Now my Question is: Can he actually do that? Because it is just a Gamertag I do not claim to own this channel, I dont selI anything etc. I just play Call
of Duty with a name that I picked by myself.

As long as the name is on the servers, you cannot use it. The only way to get it would be if the original owner changes it to something else or if he does not sign in for 5 years and it gets released.

 

but if the account is inactive i can't contact it

 

There wouldn't be anything you could do by contacting it.
