Someone might be using my account. How to fix

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems with your account, We would be more than glad to help guide you to the right place.

In this case since you have already attempted to recover your account on your side and have gotten rejected I would advise that you
Contact Xbox Support for help with the account.

Unfortunately we do not have the proper tools to handle this issue but our phone agents should get everything set up for you.

Try to see on your email that you use for your Xbox account if there are logins or that you can create a new secure account protection.

As long as you do not have 2 step verification on your account and you know the email and password for the account you can change the security proof on the account.

Keep in mind doing this will lock you out of the account for 30 DAYS until the security proof (where they are sending the verification code) is officially changed. What you would need to do is this:

Sign into your account at account.live.com/addassocid this will pop up wanting to verify the account with the old email there should then be a choice to change the security proof.

AGAIN KEEP IN MIND DOING THIS WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT FOR 30 DAYS THERE IS NO WAY TO GET AROUND THIS 30 DAY HOLD IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE EMAIL AND PASSWORD BUT NOT THE SECURITY PROOF.

You can log in to the account and add another email address or phone number and then make that the primary contact info and then change the password that way.
