Someone is using my account after removing it off that Xbox

I am having this problem where I sold a old Xbox to somebody and removed my account off of it but for some reason they are still able to access my account and use my account and I have passwords on it to where you have to enter the four digit code before getting into my account as well as my settings have that password as well after I found out somebody was using it and they still are able to use it. What can I do or why is there no solution to this as I see several other people posting about this and nothing has been done. This is so aggravating.

I would highly recommend changing the password of your account right away using this link, https://account.live.com/password/reset.

Once the password has been changed, the other person should be prompted to enter the new password when trying to use your account.

It would also be best to try the procedures from this link for a hacked account issue, https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro....

This is to check if there are any suspicious activity or any unauthorized charges made by the other person.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. Normally the only way to remove an account from your console is via two ways:

Manually
remove you account
Perform a soft
factory reset [soft because you keep your games and apps.

That being said, when your accounts are removed:

Are you playing games on your console or does it happen after you turn off the machine?
When your accounts are removed, how frequently did this happen?
Is someone else in your home using the same console? [If so, they may accidentally be removing the accounts themselves]

Hi, try removing your account from the console. After it's been removed hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it turns off. Turn it back on and the add your account again. See if that helps and let us know.

Hi there,

There is currently not a way to remove an account remotely. You can change the password on your account and the system will ask for it the next time it is logged in. Without the password the account cannot log in.

Try removing your account from the console. Once it’s removed, hard reset your console by holding the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it turns off.

After that then add your profile again.
