    No, the codes are region specific. Is the code for a game, or is it for funds?

    Might be best for him to return the code, and look at purchasing a game as a gift for the right region, or provide the funds for the code via different means.

    Unfortunately no. Gifting is region locked. Your friend would need to request a refund and then he could purchase it from another retailer that sells Canadian codes to send to you.
